Position Title: Household Operations Manager & Family Assistant
Location: Lehigh County and surrounding areas
Schedule: M-F (PT or FT)
Compensation: $20-$25/hr (depending on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Household Assistant to support multiple professional households through our agency.
This is an agency-employed position, meaning the Household Assistant will be assigned to more than one household during the week. The primary schedule includes weekday morning support with one household (approximately three hours per day, Monday–Friday), along with additional afternoon support for a second household twice per week.
This role is best suited for a flexible, self-directed professional who is comfortable traveling between households and managing consistent schedules across different home environments. Similar to professional housekeeping or household support roles, this position requires adaptability, strong organization skills, and the ability to work independently.
This is not a childcare or nanny role. The focus is on household support, organization, and day-to-day operational tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Household Operations & Organization
- Maintain high standards of organization and daily upkeep
- Oversee functionality of high-traffic spaces (kitchen, bathrooms, living areas)
- Execute light maintenance touch-ups between professional cleanings
- Manage pantry systems and household inventory
- Implement and maintain organizational systems
Laundry & Linen Management
- Full-cycle laundry oversight (as assigned)
- Linen rotation and bedding maintenance
- Closet and storage optimization
Home Logistics
- Coordinate grocery runs and household supply procurement
- Oversee deliveries and vendor access when needed
- Support household readiness for events, travel, and school transitions
- Manage small operational projects independently
Occasional Family Support
- Brief child supervision if required
- Comfortable working in homes with children and pets
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Household Manager, House Manager, or Executive-Level Household Assistant
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong organizational systems mindset
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Excellent communication and follow-through
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to pass background screening and employment clearances
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30–40 pounds (groceries, storage bins, laundry baskets, etc.)
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout a multi-level home
- Physically capable of maintaining an active, hands-on household role
